I create instruments that deal with the relationship between contradictory and contrasting elements: the digital and physical realms, noise and harmony, artificiality and organics. I made instruments for listening to wind and bees, exploring noise and the digital via livecoding, or experiencing audio feedback physically. My latest project, as of writing this, is Fielding, an approach to inter-species music making.

Among other things, I have been teaching instrument design, dynamic systems and sound technology, e.g. at UdK Berlin, Aalto University/Helsinki, Uniarts/Helsinki, IMM/Düsseldorf, and Bielefeld University.
