My practice revolves around my role as ‘cultural liaison’ to a place called Anaphoria Island. This post-culture encompasses my diverse body of work spanning over three decades. I compose music using my self-made instrument ensembles (more that individual instruments). The purpose of this is to facilitate the unique properties of the tuning systems based on traditional Anaphorian music as well as the parallel theories of the late Erv Wilson. These ensembles in turn are used not only in concerts but also in connection with original shadow theatre productions, dance and silent films.
